Meditating
Memorizing
Understanding (interpretation)
but by every word

The Bible meets your life

Think of it like a cow chewing its cud. You are chewing steadily, thoughtfully on the Word of God.

What you are meditating on sheds light and understanding on many of the details of your day. At the same time, seeing the Scripture in the context of daily life gives new insights into its application and practicality.

If you are going to meditate on God’s word, it almost goes without saying that you will be...

Why settle for the menu when you can eat the meal?

Make it your own! Build it in.

Don’t settle for a smattering of verses. Why not memorize a gospel? A book of Paul? Why not set a goal to memorize one gospel and several key passages in the epistles during your lifetime? Or the New Testament and Proverbs?

Can’t do it? Yes you can! Your memory is amazing! but you need to learn to harness it for this purpose. A daily investment of one third to one tenth the time you take to eat your physical food will result in real transformation of your life.

And, you want to get the right ...

I’ve hidden your word...
handling the word of truth

It’s the Word of God, right?

But it’s all too easy to hear the echoes of our own expectations, issues, experiences, assumptions, likes, etc. and miss the voice of God.

Don’t be satisfied with “however it hits ya”? Learn the tools that will move you closer to God’s intent in inspiring the passage.

Want to hear from God or from yourself?

Living
bear much fruit

He wasn’t talking to us was he: “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?”

It doesn’t matter how much we know unless we are doing what we know. Yes, knowledge is important, but  living a life that lines up with that knowledge is even more.

Do your values match those of the word? Does your picture of purpose, time, priorities, relationships, family, etc. line up with those of the Lord? Are you walking the “Jesus walk”?
